On To The Streets

The Ministry of God's Association For Our Children began on the streets of Pittsburgh in December 1992. The organization led under the direction of Prophet Keith Eugene Redman Sr. most widely known as BROTHER RED, president of the organization.

Brother Red, would befriend youth involved in drug and gang warfare. He found that there were no role models in the streets. Brother Red would find out our youths greatest needs, they just really want someone they can talk to and trust. He would speak on their behalf in programs, courts, or even see if they would qualify for any of the available grants, to go to college. If so, he would even fill out their grant applications. Simultaneously Brother Red would befriend single mothers and became their childrens big brother.

In March 1993, Brother  Red started biblical dicsussion and resource groups at The Pleasant Valley Homeless Mens Shelter on Pittburgh's Northside and Wood Street Commons, a marginal housing facilities located downtown Pittsburgh. Brother Red saw that the bible studies in the churches were at an all time low, so he changed the name to "BIBLICAL DISCUSSION".

Through prayer, Brother Red asked GOD how was he going to get any help and attention, he was showed "THE GAFOC BULETIN" in a dream. A thirty two page magazine targeting the problems and issues in our modern society. A magazine for youth to sell on the streets, while attending school and in special programs. Brother Red would ask church pastors to sponsor muti-copies of the magazine.Getting the magazine printed on consignment, after about 40 broken promises, only about 7 would return the finances. This let Brother Red know, that the church is not where it should be spiritually. If people can't depend on leaders of the church, who can they rely on ? Only GOD.

Brother Red, began to see that so many families needed the services of God's Association For Our Children. Crime was at an all time high, knowone was in the streets. In June of 1996, Brother Red invited over 25 different church pastors in the first annual outreach entitled GOD'S CHILDREN UNITED, Live at Market Square located downtown Pittburgh. The city of Pittsburgh would never be the same.

On to Television

A videographer was used to capture the events of GOD'S CHILDREN UNITED. The event was held again in August 1997. The footage from God's Children United was presented to Pittsburgh Community Television in the form of Ministry In The Streets in August 1996. Brother Red found that the true Word Of God is what people want to hear, THE TRUTH in our modern society.
